A 50/50 Shiraz and Grenache, sourced from vineyards in Blewitt Springs and Clarendon, two of McLaren Vale’s premier districts.
2021 produced some outstanding wines. Warm, dry conditions culminated in lower than average yields of concentrated and luscious fruit. Each parcel was harvested and open fermented before maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels to marry the components.
There’s luscious red fruits and lifted spicy notes from the Grenache, complimented by rich plum pudding characters from the Shiraz. A delicate hint of French oak and a smooth, savoury finish rounds out this quintessential Aussie red.
