Delicate, floral, crisp and refreshing. Discover Vermentino.
Vermentino has been steadily growing in popularity here in Australia. Grape growers and winemakers have found Vermentino thrives in our warm maritime climates, just as it does on the Italian island of Sardinia, where I first discovered the delight of this ancient variety. Vermentino is grown in several regions across the western coast of Italy, and in southern France. Distinctively crisp and refreshing, you'll be in seventh heaven with a plate of local seafood and a bottle of chilled Vermentino as you watch the sunset over the ocean.
Sourced from a single vineyard in the Clare Valley, this wine is a revelation - at just 10.5% alcohol, it is fresh, crisp, delicately floral and just plain yummy. A feature of the cool 2023 growing season, where the grapes slowly ripened, retaining their freshness and acidity while still developing a spectrum of flavours.
Bottled young and fresh, here's the ultimate Aussie summer sipper.
Where & When: Warm sunny days, a sea breeze, friends gathered for a catch-up. Bottles of this on the table, bbq sizzling. Summer downunder.
